Hey, my name is Sonja York and this is my portfolio. Copywriter seeking assistant position in a magazine or publishing company in the NJ or NY area. As a personal interest, I have a passion for screenwriting and playwriting too. My creative writing background allows me to write compelling copy and strong dialogue, rocketing my words off the page. As an entry-level copywriter, I'm developing my SPEC ADS for my portfolio, working on THEME-COPY, or copy set around a specific theme, such as advertising to a specific person using a literary character, time, setting, or ideals/values. The THEME-COPY I'm currently working on is centered around fairy tale characters, such as a new age dark Cinderella. Remember the advertising copy for Dior's Midnight Poison, Eva Green shows us "a new Cinderella is born." She has a dark blue background, smoky eyes, and an amazing midnight sparkle dress which matches her nails. People who fantasize about bringing fairy tales and fantasy to life will love my portfolio, which plans to re-write copy to be from the point of view of a new age Cinderella, one consumers can relate to as they absorb copy that will allow them to understand her motives and desires, which will eventually appeal to a universal sense of desires from far away times and lands.
